#25 Sharks Drop SSC Series Opener against Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The #25 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team dropped their SSC series opener against Embry-Riddle on Friday evening from the ERAU Softball Stadium. Madison Fine earned the lone RBI for the Sharks.

How it Happened

TOP 1st – Fine got the action started with a single through the left side, bringing in Ryleigh Langwell for the first run of the game.  

BOT 1st – The Eagles answered with two runs to take the 2-1 lead.  

TOP 3rd – A fielding error by the Eagles allowed Alyssa Drogemuller to come across home plate, tying the game at two apiece. 

BOT 3rd – ERAU reclaimed the lead with an RBI single to right center.  

TOP 4th – Another error by Embry-Riddle brought home another Shark run to once again bring the game to a tie.  

BOT 5th – The Eagles tacked on two runs, pushing them ahead 5-3. 

BOT 6th – Embry-Riddle wasn't done yet, putting another run on the board and ultimately securing the 6-3 SSC victory over Nova Southeastern. 
 

What's Next

NSU will return tomorrow to complete the SSC series against the Golden Eagles in a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
